8mm, Super8mm (with or without sound) and 16mm (with or without sound) film to a DVD, miniDV tape, USB drive, external hard drive or uploaded to a Vimeo account. We use Telecine film transfer machines that use a built-in high-definition camera and a true-speed mechanism to process the film. Music can be added to any film project at an additional cost. For a sample of a finished project, please go to our YouTube link
- $.24 per foot for silent film
- $.35 per foot for optical sound film
- Film Transfer setup charge (200’ film length minimum) $10.00
If your film is extremely dusty or dirty, we can clean your reels before we transfer them for only a few extra cents per foot. We use VitaFilm™ to clean and lubricate your old film. This process is done realtime with lint free cloths and VitaFilm™, passing the film several times through the soaked cloths to remove debris and brighten colors.
For extremely damaged, brittle, vinegar syndrome film (smells like old vinegar) we offer a one week soaking in a restorative VitaFilm™ solution. Soaking will stop vinegar syndrome and improve film flexibility so it can be run through a projector or transfer device. Not all film can be restored to “playability.” Please come in for a consultation to see if your damage film is a candidate for this process. Soaking is $40 per reel and takes 5-8 days to complete.
