8mm, Super8mm (Silent or Sound) and 16mm (Silent or with Optical Sound) film to a DVD, USB drive, or external hard drive. We use Telecine film transfer machines that use a built-in high-definition camera and a true-speed mechanism to process the film. Music can be added to any film project at an additional cost. - $.25 per foot for silent film
- $.35 per foot for sound film
Please note that while we will handle film orders of fewer than 200 feet, our minimum charge for film transfers is equivalent to 200 feet.
How many minutes of footage are on my film reels?
The running time for 8mm film, Super8 film are approximately:
- 3″ reel (50 feet) 2-3 minutes
- 4″ reel (100 feet) 5-6 minutes
- 5″ reel (200 feet) 12-14 minutes
- 6″ reel (300 feet) 19-22 minutes
- 7″ reel (400 feet) 26-29 minutes
